What changed

• Introduced the ocean-depth visual system and Angga’s randomized whale artwork.
• Reframed the project as independent, international, and source-driven.
• Expanded the country index into linked, sourced jurisdiction and community profiles, with a carefully scoped seven-state overview.
• Added a primary-source law and governance library covering the ICRW, IWC rules, ocean law, and national examples.
• Added visible “last verified” dates to research-oriented pages.
• Rebuilt the contact page around tips, corrections, photographs, research, translation, and public cooperation.
• Updated page descriptions and social-sharing metadata.

Research status

The country index is now a sourced orientation to current frameworks. It does not claim to be a comprehensive database of quotas, catches, laws, or population assessments. Those records will be expanded only when their underlying sources can be shown clearly.

No factual correction has been logged yet. When one is necessary, this public record will describe what changed rather than silently replacing the earlier wording.
